JOHN LAWRENCE SULLIVAN will launch collaborative boots with KIDS LOVE GAITE from the Autumn/Winter 2026 collection on Friday, August 21.

This collection heavily reflects designer Arashi Yanagawa's background as a professional boxer. By eliminating excessive ornamentation and social conventions, maintaining a certain distance from others and society, and aligning with the ascetic attitude—the stance—inherent in Nordic black metal, which is both aggressive and self-defensive, the collection focuses on visualizing the body's presence within the clothes it wears.

The footwear line, a collaboration with KIDS LOVE GAITE, features two styles, including long combat boots with studs on the toe. The aggression and rejection imagery of black metal are reinterpreted not as a means to intimidate others, but as a stance to protect one's own position. By applying special processing to the last to exaggerate the volume of the toe, a strong and impactful form is created, imbued with tension. The side zip specification allows for smooth putting on and taking off.

The upper uses Elbamatt Liscio leather from Italy's TEMPESTI company. The sole combines a Vibram rubber sole, resulting in a pair that boasts high durability and practicality.
