JOHN LAWRENCE SULLIVAN is made up of many Hiroshima natives, including the designer, brand staff, and PR team. Designer Arashi Yanagawa, whose grandmother was a victim of the atomic bombing and who has long wanted to "communicate through fashion," has released a limited edition T-shirt expressing his wish for peace, expressing his feelings about the tragedy that occurred in his hometown 80 years ago.

The "NEVER SURRENDER" message T-shirt, released in 2024, is a series that expresses not only social difficulties and oppression, but also the "never give in attitude" of each and every person living their daily lives. Continuing this concept, the new shirt features the historical and symbolic number "063096," the target point of the atomic bomb dropped on Hiroshima at 8:15 a.m. on August 6, 1945, to quietly speak of memory, pain, and a determination that will never fade.

"063096" is not just a number.
It is a symbol of an era in which cities are managed as grids and even human life is quantified, and the T-shaped Aioi Bridge is also a point where people cross paths and the course of civilization diverged. Those cold, impersonal numbers contain the human pain and lost daily routine. We have entrusted the word "NEVER" to express our determination to stand by these times and never forget.

A portion of the sales will be donated to Hiroshima City to support the preservation of the Atomic Bomb Dome and efforts toward peace.
